Flashback Friday: {Growth Chart} Growing Tree

I made this growth chart just a few days before my second son was born...Two and a half years later there are lots of marks on this tree and we love looking back and seeing the growth of the boys!
growth chart

My five foot tall tree! I started a six inches and made a line for every inch. I marked the numbers only every six though.

I'm loving my new sewing machine. Notice the stitch on the leaves... couldn't have done that before. Also, I was able to program in the numbers and easily sew the markings all up the tree. I'm just writing in my sons measurements and the date, I'll add his as he grows and more colors/markings for future kids.

We've put many more marks in the past few years... I try to mark the boys at least twice a year..In fact, by oldest son's 1/2 birthday was yesterday, so we measured and marked his new height... fun to see them grow!
Not sure if we measured wrong last time or what... but it appears he has shrunk {yikes!}

  2. That's ADORABLE. I'm gonna have to do one like it for my kids. I love that it's fabric and can be rolled up and moved easily.

    Just wanted to come say thanks so much for coming by my blog and commenting on the earflap beanie :D

    BTW I love everything about the new add image feature EXCEPT I can't seem to hyperlink pictures very easily. SO frustrating!
