DIY Simple Ornament {kids craft} Delightful December

Have you entered the Smilebooks giveaway???
Who wouldn't like a FREE photobook. Three are up for grabs!
I'm excited to have a kids craft to share with you today! My boys aren't overly crafty. Our usual pattern is that we set up the project for ten min, they work for five, and it takes another ten to clean up. Let's just say I don't love crafting with them, its not worth the work and they don't really seem to care. However, in the spirit of teaching my boys to GIVE GIFTS I'm trying to come up with simple projects that they can give away.
I saw this idea on the MADE blog and made my own version.
kids ornamentsSo, grab some kids, some muslin fabric, markers and twine and get to work!
I took some of the blank ornaments over to a friends house this morning and we let the kids have fun. It may have been easier to color if they weren't stuffed first, but it was really fun to be able to hang them up as soon as we were finished!

On the back we put the name of the family we are giving this to along with the year and artists name.
Can you tell which one I worked on (smiles) We hot glued a bead at the base of the twine to complete the project! (I had tried to thread through the twine before sewing, but the bead didn't fit)
This is even a great blank crafts to mass produce for a class party or other kids gathering. We are going to be using this next week for our Moms' group Christmas party.
