Green and Yellow Themed Food and Tasty Tuesday party

getting closer to 300! I'm going to host a giveaway...are you following?
I posted the above pictures on Saturday to lure you back to today's party! Last week I shared the decor from the Green and Yellow Baby shower and today I am going to share the food. Click HERE to see all the party decor.
This was the menu....
I am not sharing exact recipes (because that's not really how I cook :o) But, you can get the general idea and see what you like from there!
 Cucumber Bites:
Small cucumbers (less that 1 inch wide)
low fat sour cream
bacos
green onions
minced garlic

Slice cucumbers into 1/2 inch pieces and hollow out the center. (melon baller or sharp spoon). Mix 1/2 cup sour cream with 3 TBS bacos and the whites from several green onions.Add a TBS of minced garlic. Fill the cucumber cups with the mix and top with the chopped green part of the onions.
 California Rolls:
You can check out my tutorial for these HERE. I filled these with yellow peppers and avocado to stay with the theme.
 Crustless Quiche:
Mix eggs with a dash of milk, sharp cheddar cheese, feta cheese and some chopped spinach (I used frozen). Back in a greased mini muffin tinat 350 for around 20 min. of until browned on top. These were a favorite of the day!
These are just a variation from a normal deviled egg recipe. I used mustard and mayo, then added 2 TBS of wasabi sauce. It wasn't too strong, but you should add slowly and taste often as you add the wasabi.Top with sesame seeds.. I could only find the white ones, but black sesame looks the best.

I must admit, these lime bars came from a box.... :o)
 Fruit Kabobs:
Pineapple, kiwi, grapes, melon.

Now, on to YOU! Wow, I was so impressed with all the 4th of July creations, check out all the ideas from last weeks party here. Since its after the 4th, I've featuring a few other ideas today. Here are a few of my favs! ( I have a lot today!)

  12. Thanks for hosting such a great party, and for the shout out on the mocha ice cream. I am still enjoying it, after returning from vacation. I love that it keeps so well in the freezer - some homemade ice creams don't! Today I linked up peaches n' cream muffins - super yummy and a great way to take advantage of the delicious fruit in season!
