SO thankful!

My friend Christine and I hosted our school's annual Thanksgiving feast. Being in Hong Kong we are all away from family, so the little tastes of home at really nice this time of year! I was able to bring my fall decorations that I had made (garland and wreath) for decoration. We had around 80 people come, it was a blessed evening.

Boys room remake

I've got a bunch of Christmas projects in the works, but can't show them yet... I don't want to ruin the surprise for the recipients :o) I'll be showing some more felt food and some clay ornaments soon though! In the meantime I'm also (slowly) redoing my sons' room from a frog themed nursery to a boys room with a transportation theme. I've finished the mobile for above the crib...
Made cute backgrounds for my decal words... These will be hung on the wire I strung around the top of the room.

This summer I saw the Hit the Road bedding at Target and loved it. It also has matching wall decals (where my words above came from). My kids are getting the bedding for Christmas from our family, and a wonderful friend sent the wall decals as a baby gift. I was amazed as they are totally out of stock EVERYWHERE. In fact I couldn't even find a picture to post with this entry...Anyway, great gift. We are planning to paint a road around the room and stick the decals on it. So fun!

I'm hungry, let's eat!

I am having SO much fun making felt food! I found a couple new links for ideas this week, and took some of my ideas from them. You can see them HERE. I'm working on Dinner and a whole load of fruit and veggies to make healthy meals, but for now you can check out my lunch menu. Chips, sandwich, and raisin cookies.

I didn't really have a good color felt for lunch meat, so for now its scary pink balongna.

more fall leaves...

I made this fall leaf wreath to add to my fall decorations. If you live where there are real fall leaves you could make it out of the real ones! I have to once again settle for my paper ones, but I was pleased with the result.
I added a scripture about giving thanks, although I wish I would have printed in a bigger font. Some twine finished off the look.

I like big butts,,,

the original pants...
I use cloth diapers, and every once in awhile I get a pair of pants that don't fit well over them. I really liked these pants (they have two cute onsies that go with), so with this new baby, I remade the pants. You can see above how tight they were in the diaper area.
I added a v in the butt and in the legs as well, then reattached the cuffs. It probably would have taken less time to just make new pants... but I like the material :o)
