ADVENT TREE
I'm linking up to http://www.redtedart.com/ 's upcoming OCT Christmas Month. Maybe this will inspire your Christmas craft juices as well!
A few years ago, I made this as a gift for my husband for Christmas. He had talked about having something like this as a kid and all the great memories that went with decorating the tree each year...kids taking turns, etc.
I found many of these ideas on a blog (but I have no idea where anymore, please let me know if you know)
The basic idea is a quilted tree background, lots of red buttons, and pretty, decorated ornaments. I put pockets on the bottom with the dates in Dec, and to hold the ornaments until they are hung. The 24th is a star for the top of the tree. I had a blast making it, but it took a long time.

Oh my, this is simply too cute! Wow! You put so much effort into it too!!! Thank you for sending it through to Christmas Get Crafty - it will be perfect!
